So the 60th Annual Grammy Awards took place in Madison Square Garden, NYC. Before I get to my highlights, let me mention that for Jay-Z not to win one award after being nominated for 8 categories is kind of suspect.
To me, I felt it was just a ploy to have Beyonce present to boost the viewership...

Anyway, few things happened during the show that blew me away...
Eve interviewing Cardi B: I was like this
when I saw Eve asking Cardi B a few questions on the red carpet. Since I was little, Eve has always been my number 1 female rapper and watching her interview Cardi B on the red carpet was an aw-moment for me.

Rihanna doing the 'Gwara-Gwara' dance: Rihanna had the most fun (as far as she's concerned) during the show when she performed 'wild thoughts' with DJ Khaled. Towards the end of it, when she did the gwara-gwara (a South African dance), I literally DIED! It made my night! I was filled with joy. Memes flowed in from left, right and center on twitter. They were very funny but I was PROUD!

Janelle MonΓ‘e's Speech: She stepped out to introduce Ke$ha's performance and had this to say...
Ke$ha's performance: She performed her hit single 'Prayer'. It gave me severe goosebumps and I felt like slapping that 'someone' on her behalfJanelle MonΓ‘e just dropped the mic at the #Grammys for #TimesUp and the #MeToo movement. pic.twitter.com/B1HKNFAFVJ— Raw Story (@RawStory) January 29, 2018

James' audition: The host of the night, James Cordon, auditioned some celebrities for the spoken word version of Michael Wolff's "Fire and Fury" for the purpose of getting a Grammy Award of his own. I had mixed emotions on this one but it was definitely a highlight.
Alessia Cara's acceptance speech for Best New Artist: She took out time to encourage everyone to "...support real music and real artistes becasue everyone deserves the same shot..."On the hunt for a GRAMMY Award of his own, James Corden auditions celebrities for the spoken word version of Michael Wolff's "Fire and Fury." pic.twitter.com/SjTobAbv2N— The Late Late Show with James Corden (@latelateshow) January 29, 2018
Preach sis!

Amazing night. I enjoyed all of these in the 'semi-comfort' of my home
