Brymo - Bá'núsọ Music Video...Too minimal?

'Peaceful' Brymo (image from insta @brymolawale)

Highly talented intellectual singer, Brymo, released his official video for second song 'Bá’núsọ' off his critically acclaimed “Oṣó” album of 2018. I assure you that most were a bit indifferent since there were no semi nude ladies in the videos. They were watching the video, looking for them women like...

Sorry! The video featured just him and him alone which was just enough. This beautiful song (which is in Yoruba dialect) comes fully packed and loaded with meaning. Bá’núsọ (based on my research) literally means 'talk to yourself only'. Not to be confused, a fan, on YouTube, gave a brief description of what the song is all about:
for the Non-Yoruba lovers and addicts of Brymo... this  well thought out , portrayed and delivered song simply means "Commune With Your HEART alone  and Not with mere MEN". As seen in the video, Brymo being the only man in the scene,  highlight  the importance of "privacy  or the oath of secrecy in whatever Good and Positives we intend doing as  Individuals". Reason is the more you divulge personal or private information or plans about yourself to the world, the harder it becomes realizing such a vision. Also, the light casting on the dark background, is a reflection of the innermost part of man, non-evident to others but to Man along.
Summarily, as individuals, Brymo through his Yoruba Proverbial Song titled BANU SO is advising listeners all around the world to COMMUNE  THEIR THOUGHTS, VISIONS AND ASPIRATION TO THE VERY BEING WITHIN THEM AND NOT WITH MERE MEN...
On the same YouTube, some else added this:
For those people that did not understand Yoruba.....is trying to admonish us that we should not reveal our plans to anyone in life....that this life is full of politics....let your plans be known to you alone...

Brymo has been described as a 'minimalist' when it comes to his music and I agree...with good intentions. He is so talented to the extent that only a few can truly appreciate the richness of his craft and how it can impact the society if we take to heart what he shares through it.

A word of wisdom from the artist...

Even if you don't understand Yoruba (which I don't) you will surely get the song. I can go on and on about Brymo and his style of music but I have a take a breather for now and let you guys enjoy this masterpiece...
