Lil Nas X released 'Old Town Road', a song that has a mixture of hip hop/trap and country. All was good and everyone loved the song. The song debuted on three Billboard charts at the same time: the Hot 100, Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs and Hot Country Songs. Only for Billboard removed the song from the country chart stating...
it does not embrace enough elements of today’s country music to chart in its current version.
What is not country about this song? A deaf person will tell you the song sounds country...sort off! Well, due to the controversy, 'Old Town Road' became more popular causing maestros like Billy Ray Cyrus and Diplo to step in to make it even bigger and more popping.
